A Great Escape!
Sunday, September 27, 2009 marked the end of our 12th symposium.....and it was a GREAT SUCCESS...230 people attended and learned a lot, ate some really great food and had lots of fun. It was a great symposium and a great ESCAPE. As one person put it, "...The weekend was filled with great fun, food, laughter, friends...everyone who spoke... was worth being there for. My daughter was so impressed with the happiness and friendship from the people she met that she is already telling me she is my travel partner for Elizabeth..."
Feel like another ESCAPE? Getting away from it all? Going to places that are out of the mainstream... and picking up where we left off in Atlanta?????
COME ALONG WITH US AND ESCAPE TO...
NEW YORK! NEW YORK! Well, not exactly the Big Apple itself but close enough you can get there very easily and fast - Our next symposium will be in Elizabeth, NJ at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, only a stone's throw from the Newark Airport and will be September 24 to 26th, 2010 BUT there will be tours before and, AFTERWARDS, for those of you who want to go, a fantastic cruise direct from the harbors of New York to Halifax, Nova Scotia, then to Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick and on down to Bar Harbor, Me, Boston, Ma and Newport, RI. You will spend one day's time in each of the cities mentioned to do what you want to do. AND remember, this time of year is during the beautiful fall color season.....Surround yourself with all those colors plus that lingering wonderful smell of the fallen leaves. You couldn't ask for a more restful and relaxing time of year.
We know this is still a year away but we're so excited about it we wanted you to know now plus, for those going on the cruise, if you want to "get aboard" with your choice of cabin, cruises are generally booked way in advance.
For our symposium the rate for the hotel will be just $89 per night plus tax and our registration fee will be just $89. In fact, before we left Atlanta, we already had a registration...exciting! We've been able to hold the price line once again. Tours? We're in the process of creating them right now - so much to see and do in New York. You will be amazed and we'll let you know as we get closer.
For the cruise, it will leave NYC at approximately 4 PM on Sunday, the 26th and, one of the most beautiful sights to begin with is cruising the harbor of New York taking in the sights of the city and the Statue of Liberty, an emotional sight to see. When you wake up in the morning you'll be in Halifax...WELCOME TO CANADA!!! Let the games (fun) begin!
The price for the cruise for an outside balcony cabin is just $1,272 per person; for an ocean view room it is $1,092 and for an inside room (no window) it is $842. We've reserved 18 balcony rooms, 8 ocean view and 6 inside cabin rooms. A deposit of $250 per person by credit card will hold these rooms and, from what people said at the symposium these cabins will go fast so we would recommend you take advantage right now and call Betty Durso, Elm Grove Travel in Elm Grove, WI at either 262-786-7070 or 1-800-782-7073. Tell her you're with ST/Dystonia and reserve your berths. You can always cancel in case something prohibits you from going. Oh yes, this is a 7 day cruise and will return to NYC on October 3.
Coming along? We hope so. It's going to be a GREAT ESCAPE no matter which destination you choose.
