Some STRIKING NEWS!

For our Sunday morning program at our symposium, we will have the privilege of having Physical Therapist, Mikki Townshend to be there and having an actual exercise class utilizing various types of physical therapy exercises. So many people through the years have asked for this so here it is. Bring your "sweats" and be ready to go. Mikki was at our Seattle symposium and later did some exercises in one of our magazine issues. Now, she will be there in person to actually show us, and have us, do some exercises or counsel any of you on what you can do for yourselves when you get back home.

It is extremely difficult to find experts in various facets of treatment programs such as physical therapy or nutrition or acupuncture or massage or any of the "alternatives", and more specifically, in the cities we go to, mainly because ST is so rare and you do want a "true" expert. With Mikki I believe we have that so, hopefully, you will want to come and participate. After her "class" we can have a Caring and Sharing session.

Number 2 will be the appearance of Mark LeDoux, MD, from the University of Tennessee, who was at our Baltimore symposium and will be collecting blood samples for his ongoing study of genetics. Last year he collected blood from at least 54 people that we know of and that’s why he wants to come to see if he can get more from the new people this year and there are quite a few. Dr LeDoux will let us know on Friday evening what he would like all of you to do. Genetic studies is very, very important for all of us and we're glad he's coming back.

We know that airfare rates are very important to all of you and don't at all like what is going on with the price of gas BUT, on the supposition that there will be some downward play in those prices it might be that, if you really want to come, that you reserve a room at the hotel now as you can always cancel it if you have to. We have a room block that is good until August 28th BUT, if rooms are not picked up before then we may have to cut back on that room block. In fact, we will have to make a decision by August 15th to cut back or not, but, even if we do, let us emphasize it does not mean you couldn’t still get a room and come, it means the room would be at whatever the prevailing rate would be.
